Microvascular surgery

Microvascular surgery involves repair of small small blood vessels under magnification of operating microscope. The repair is being done by very fine nylon suture which are thinner than hair. For doing microvascular surgery surgeon has to undergo intense training to acquire the skill to do this along with this hand surgeon also require a good set of micro surgical instruments.

The application of this procedure is mainly for replantation, revascularisation procedure secondary to trauma & also for reconstructive works like free tissue transfer, toe transfers etc.
